I was an Etymotic fan for many years (ER4, -4P, -4XR, etc.) but I was usually disappointed with the lack of speed with faster drums, double-kicks, as well as the often lack of air movement for realistic drum sounds. Hybrids became my model of choice.

I haven't heard the Turbo, but I've heard several all-BA IEMs that have good sub-bass extension (can reach down to 20hz or so) but that struggle to keep up with the speed of double-kicks drums of faster metal. It's hard to describe in words, but when you hear it, you know it.

TSMR X and about 3-4 cables! Solaris was a sorta lark buy, giving CFA one more shot, but their DNA just doesn't quite match mine, however nice.

I took a chance on a $20 on Amazon, and it is amazingly good sounding. I can compare a 3.5mm jack cable with usb c dongle to the 4.4mm cable with the 4.4mm dac dongle -- sound is at least 50% better to me.

I used LG phones (V20, 30 & 40) for several years b/c of excellent on-board audio processing, even out of 3.5mm jack. But my phone carrier (V) decided to drop LG phones and I had to shift to Samsung -- I adjusted.

I do NOT have the Stealth, but IMO the Solaris 2020 sounds closer to the Grado HP model: pretty energetic through-out with a mid-bass kick that is more prominent than sub-bass, mids that are rich, and a treble semi-spike around 2-4K that can make it sound hot to some people with treble...

The only difference I've found is that if you completely remove it, all bass goes away. Anywhere between fully in and fully out doesn't seem to make a difference, so apparently fully In gives the IEM to correct amount of venting the IEM needs to sound right.
