I notice that when I play 24 bit 96 k flac files in songbird (mac) connected usb the gain is much lower so I have to raise the volume on the fiio e17.  When I put a cd and play it from the same input (usb) the gain is much higher.  Can anyone explain what's wrong here? 

I am asking because I have a fairly small head and all headphones I seem to try do not fit me right.  I heard that the hd650s headband has a tighter clamping force from the hd600s is this true?

I was wondering if I can add an rca switch box so that I can switch from my turntable to my cd player while listening to my headphone amp.  Would this degrade the sound or cause a signal lost? If you are using a switch box, which one are you using?

My tube amp gives a hum when I plug it from my integrated home audio amp's tape out to the input in.  When I plug the headphone amp directly into a source it is dead quiet.  Anyone know why this happens? Btw, I am using a woo audio wa6.

I would like to know if the volume of the burson ha-160 has noise when you turn it at each click.  I've read that several users of the ha-160d hear static noises when turning their knob, is this the case of the ha-160? If so, does this damage your headphones?

I just bought a matrix m stage from china , bought new from an ebay user that has 100% feedback and has sold many of these.  Upon receiving the amp I inspected the back panel , it says 220v .  The box says 110v.  I  contacted the seller and he told me that they made a mistake by stamping 220v...

Im looking for a portable headphone that has a strong clamping force. I have a rather long square face and I have trouble finding a headphone that stays tightly in place.  I like the clamping pressure tight, anyone comment on the es55's clamping force?

Just received a pair of hd650's, been an audiophile for years but I am only now getting into headphone listening.  My only experience in head-fi listening is with the Sony MDR-7506.  Although I find them a bit bright I still want to hold on to them.  Now, I just got the hd650's I plugged them in...

I would like to know if there is anything out there similar to the hd650 headphone but with a little more brightness and/or sparkle ?

Can anyone tell me if the denon ah-d5000 has a tight clamping pressure on the head? I am quite skinny and rather small head, I find that most headphones fit loose on my head.  I like the way the mdr-7506 and the sennheiser hd650s fit,  Im looking to buy the ah-d5000 never tried them on my head...
