Meet the HD 598 Special Edition
So what happens when you need replacement earpads or head band? Do you have to buy the regular HD598 colored pieces? :) I don't see the special edition parts listed on Sennheisers website.- robzr

New (and pretty harsh) review of iPod touch from iLounge
Perhaps you guys arne't the target market for the iPod Touch. It sounds like you guys may want an iPod Classic, or even Nano. Why would you complain about a product thats not aimed at you? Personally, I'm looking forward to getting my iPod Touch because I think thin is great. Having a wifi...- robzr

Is tinnitus constant?
I got it (high pitched metallic squeal/ring), it sucks... it seems to vary in intensity based on a variety of things (stress, caffeine, if I've stressed my ears recently) I've noticed. There is a very good Tinnitus FAQ online. I tried one of the FAQs recommendations - vinpocetine - and it works...- robzr

Anyone Using AirPort Express with PC?
I'd be curious to see how ya do in a blind a-b test! (or anyone for that matter). Coming from a computer background were cheap ass 100 mbps ethernet cards usually show 0 ethernet level errors over relatively long links on cheap cable, I'm a little skeptical how a 1.5 mbps digital connection can...- robzr

Anyone Using AirPort Express with PC?
In iTunes (there is no special version, they all support the AX), when it detects an AX on your network, it will appear in a drop-down list next to the EQ button on the lower right hand side. What is your end purpose for the AX? Are you going to use it just as a wireless node? As a Base...- robzr

Anyone Using AirPort Express with PC?
I'm guessing you have yet to configure it ? You can try resetting it; I think to do a "reset-to-factory-defaults" you can hold down the reset pin while plugging it in or something; then you can run the wizard to get it going, or the admin tool if you are tech savvy. They work great tho, I'm...- robzr

Etymotic Er-6 Isolaters for my Ipod, will they be any better than the Sony MDR-EX71S
I have some MDR 71 and ER4Ps; they are totally incomparable..the sonys sound muddy and boomy and lacking high end, the ER4Ps I think are a great match for the Ipod, the Ipod (4g & mini) can drive them pretty well w/o an amp...I haven't heard ER6s but I would definately consider springing for...- robzr

AirPort Express - anyone using more than one?
I'm running two A-X's, "bed room" and "living room". For the router I'm using a Linksys WRT54G (because it runs Linux and is easy to add more Linux s/w to it; and because it was $79 ($50 if you shop around) vs $200 for the Airport Extreme Base). I don't have WDS running yet (I don't think it's...- robzr

Which format is closest to the master: vinyl, CD, DVD-A, or SACD?
Digital is just analog at a lower resolution. We feel and hear in digital - neurons firing ; it's binary. Echo Indigo, Audiotrack Optoplay or M-Audio Transit?
OK the first guy says "a modded transit is better than an indigo...we used an SR-71 as the amp". The second guy says that the transit + sr-71 combo is better than the indigo. Which is it? Of course a transit + sr-71 combo is going to spank an indigo amp when driving AKGs. Two issues here...- robzr
