I use CBR 320 most of the time, can't really tell the difference in a blind test. I do keep most of the music on my computer in FLAC though for archival purposes, space is not that expensive these days and gives you the option of converting to different formats.

I agree that there is no comparison between the D2 and D10, having owned both myself. I expect the D2+ to sound slightly better but it probably won't come close to the D10 still as it's in another league.

I'd go for the Gilmore Lite personally. It's a very nice amp and won't break the bank at $400. Granted there are better amps out there but the gains are marginal at best to me when taking the price difference into account.
