Heed CanAmp
Ah, the love on the Canamp is still strong in most of us I'm still very much enjoying my ultra-modded Canamp By the way did anyone try pairing the Canamp with IEMs? I tried plugging my Shure e4c to it and it sounded NO difference with plugging it straight to my stock iPod 5.5g!- yrh0413

Shure-ly Not - Almost Faked Out
i'll still recommend the e4c. You bought a fake pair, and you definitely need to listen to a genuine pair this time!- yrh0413

Can Shure e4c use Ety's foamies?
I have a pair of e4c and I plan to stick to foamies. I wonder can I use Ety's foamies on my e4c? Ety's foamies are cheaper than Shure's though TIA- yrh0413

Shure E4C and....
oh my... do they look like these? try searching "fake e4c" in this forum's search form, you'll end up with a handful of links and info. I have a pair of e4c myself, and it is grey top bottom white.- yrh0413

XIN SuperMicro-IV VS The BIG Gun - A comparo to remember
the stock Heed does sounds amazing when I upgraded from a LD2+. But unfortunately it reveals its flaws when you compare it with other similarly priced headamps (e.g. PPAv2). If possible do try a modded Heed, you'll be very much amazed. Still, i'm very much in love with my Heed (of course, a...- yrh0413

XIN SuperMicro-IV VS The BIG Gun - A comparo to remember
The owner of the Heed chips in. My Heed Canamp is not in stock form. It has upgraded power supply caps, dual regulators, upgraded input decoupling caps, and has a pair of OPA637s on a browndog. I have tried a handful of opamps on my Canamp (AD823, DY2000, OPA2107 etc) and imho the 637s has...- yrh0413

Heed CanAmp
from my experience, my stock Heed loses to a PPAv2. oh well, the PPAv2 is like USD200 cheaper than the Heed. but please don't get me wrong; i'm still sticking with my Heed (and this would be my last commercial amp!)- yrh0413

emu 0404 with k701+heed?
I have the exactly same setup before: EMU0404 PCI -> Heed -> K701. Overall i would say it is just so-so. The stock 0404 has rather narrow soundstage and bright treble. Seriously, the ZL is much better imho.- yrh0413

Heed CanAmp
so far i found 3 opamps that suits my K701 darn well: OPA637s on browndog, AD DY2000, and National Semiconductor LME49720. The DY2000 performs the best for vocals; LME49720 has loads of details, strong bass, but it lacks the musicality in vocals. The 637s have expansive soundstage, but i seem...- yrh0413

Heed CanAmp
I tried the NE5532 again 2 days ago, when i was playing with my opamp stash. Urgh, it just sounded horrible to my ears. One thing is for sure: the NE5532 kills loads of details- yrh0413

Heed CanAmp
=) here's a brief review on my ultra-modded Heed CanAmp. One obvious improvement is the noise floor has been kept to almost zero even at max volume. However this does not apply to all opamps i have. The LM4562 and LME49720 has noise problem at max volume, and dual 637s on browndog has noise...- yrh0413
