Hugo TT 2 by Chord Electronics - The Official Thread
Thank you for the warning! I will check with that. How about the DAC mode? Will that do any damage to the headphones that are connected to the rear XLR out?- yanfeng

Hugo TT 2 by Chord Electronics - The Official Thread
Hello! I recently bought a TT 2 and I am very pleased with it driving my HD820. I'd like to experiment with the rear XLR out using a 4-pin XLR balanced to 2X 3-pin XLR adapter from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B018ZN9IXI?tag=headfi-20 Is there anything that I should be cautious? I heard...- yanfeng

Hugo M Scaler by Chord Electronics - The Official Thread
Thank you for the reply. The third LED is white. I am also considering a single Dave, but there is no demo unit on loan. My main headphone is HD820 and I am not planning an amp. In that case will a single Dave be better than a TT2/HMS combo? If it’s as big a difference as from Hugo 2 to TT2...- yanfeng

Hugo M Scaler by Chord Electronics - The Official Thread
I have a TT2 and HMS combo on loan, but I can't tell the difference between a single TT2 and the combo, even with 44/16 files. I know everybody is so overwhelmed by the combo, but is there anyone who feels the same as me? My ears are not super good, but not super bad either. I can hear the...- yanfeng

Quloos QA390
I have both QA390 and DMP-Z1. QA390 is more powerful, and it has more details. Z1 is smoother and more refined. I have sold Z1 and kept QA390.- yanfeng

I wish the same so that I can see the real bitrate of Tidal. I think even if the transfer rate of LDAC drops to something around 600Kbps, it's still OK as that's the birate of lossless FLAC format.- yanfeng

I have recently subsribed to Tidal hifi service. I used Tidal Adroid app on Huawei P20 pro and connect it to Z1 through bluetooth LDAC mode. The sound quality is sensational! Much better than Apple Music. LDAC has the transfer rate of 990Kbps, which is a lot better than aptX. Z1's support of...- yanfeng

Why the use of SP1000 as streamer? Wouldn't a big screen phone or pad better for navigation while offering the same quality USB out?- yanfeng

When I listened to 1Z, I feel there is still slight unnaturalness, like slight edge or roughness occasionally. With Z1, those unsmoothness has all been ironed out. Everything flows more effortlessly. Well, maybe it's even a lilltle bit too rounded and smooth, if I have something to complain...- yanfeng

Official Sony DMP-Z1 Thread
I might have not expressed myself properly. IER-Z1R on WM1Z is very good, so good that I bought it immediately. But IER-Z1R is such a beast that eats power for breakfast. I have to turn the volume of WM1Z almost to max for best result, but on Z1 12 o'clock is alreay too much for me. So I might...- yanfeng

Today I did a crazy thing. I bought a IER-Z1R to go with Z1. I must have lost my mind. I have lost my mind ever since I heard DMP-Z1. Very initial impression: this is a crazy earphone, easily surpassing all my my earphones including K3003 and RE2000 in almost all aspects. This small earphone...- yanfeng

Has anyone compared this with Sony DMP-Z1? I read from the Chinese forum that it's better than Z1, but I have my doubt until I can listen to it.- yanfeng
