Bowers and Wilkins PX8 Wireless Discussion
Newbie question - how do I clean the ear cups of the PX8? After a 2 hour session I can see the sweat residue. Don't want to damage them, so any advice would be appreciated.- Yahzi

So earlier in the thread I expressed my surprise and disappointment that there was very little bass on my PX8's. I assumed they might be faulty, and many comments made a similar observation. So I tested another pair and .... same performance. Compared to my moms Sony XM4 cans, the PX8's are kind...- Yahzi

So my headphones were charged to 100%, I've just watched 25 minutes of Wednesday on Netflix (with ANC) and my battery is already at 96%. Is that normal?- Yahzi

How do I perform a factory reset? Is that even possible? Edit : never mind. I see you can do it in the app - I'll try that. Other than that, the only other thing to do is to demo it against another pair.- Yahzi

Do you guys have any other trouble shooting tips or any other method I could use to determine if my headphones are truly faulty? My dealer is on holiday and is only reopening in the next 2 weeks. If there is anything else I should try then I'm all ears.- Yahzi

There is bass. But the bass I get seems very light and thin. That is probably the best way to describe it. All comments in this thread point to a bass heavy presentation and that is DEFINITELY not the case. The mids and highs seem prominent with the bass in the background. EQ is set to middle...- Yahzi

So I just received my PX8's and I'm experiencing a problem (well a few actually) but I'll start with the biggest one. There is no virtually no bass on these headphones. I'm using my Samsung S9, I've tried Spotify and Youtube sources. Music just has no punch. At all. My mom has the Sony XM5's...- Yahzi

Is it possible to have more granular control of EQ with a third party app? By the sounds of things the B&W app offers very limited EQ flexibility.- Yahzi

Sorry to ask again - anyone know if these cans have been measured? I know it's not the be-all, but I reckon for the asking price they should perform pretty well on the bench. I'm considering a pair and pretty much have to buy sight unseen as stock is only arriving in December (in S.A) and I have...- Yahzi

Do anyone know how these perform from a measurement perspective? I don't see any frequency response data but maybe someone can chime in.- Yahzi

Testing audiophile claims and myths
I've heard audiophiles claim that the most accurate and finely tuned measuring devices are our senses. Do you agree with this? If not, why not?- Yahzi

So the difference in gain structure and volume pot from one amp to the next could explain the subjective terms such as 'laid-back', 'sterile', 'warm' etc?- Yahzi

Testing audiophile claims and myths
So the two amps have different gain structures? If I'm understanding this correctly, the supplied power on one amp with a given gain structure could be reached over a wider range on the volume pot compared to another. So a higher gain structure means the supplied power is probably over a more...- Yahzi
