The Official 64 Audio Thread | apex & tia Technologies

I had contacted 64a a few months ago on this and they sent me a link to the refit service order. So that's why I was curious of if, once they get ciems, perhaps they make some manual adjustments, but if it still doesn't fit, they would tell me that I need impressions, and I would potentially get...

The Official 64 Audio Thread | apex & tia Technologies

For those of you with 64audio CIEM's that had to do a re-fit, did you have to get new impressions? Reason I ask is I have a set of A12t's bought last year and they didn't fit right from the start. I should have utilized the 30 day trial fit program at that time, but I was hoping I would "wear...

New A12t came in and well ahead of schedule, almost 2 weeks sooner than expected. The build quality on these are stellar, perfectly smooth shell throughout. The cable braid feels very high quality as well. On the flip side, I am grappling with the fit. When I first put them on, I was surprised...

Ordered a set of A12t's today, finally. I have been putting off getting customs but ultimately the tip-rolling situation with universals is so hit and miss that it was time to make the jump. The audiologist appointment was somewhat of a surprise as the material goes deep in your ear and the...

The Bullet/Cable-Down IEM Database (140+ Update!)

Thanks for this thread. Cable down IEMs are by far the most comfortable I own. Part of that is they're very easy to get in and out. Over ears have a certain amount of fiddling with the cable every time. Also seems like over ears can be just about any shape, and they either will or won't fit your...

    Precog's IEM Reviews & Impressions

I agree, very thick in the low end. It emphasized mid-bass, or was maybe just not well defined between bass and mids.

    DUNU - Discussion/Impressions Master Thread

Just ordered an SA6 to replace my DUNU DN-1000. Considered waiting for SA4, but SA6 is pretty well regarded. Also looked at Moondrop options but from what I can tell the Blessing and others have a bass-pressure that has to do with there being a lack of vent. Good for isolation but bad for...

    DUNU - Discussion/Impressions Master Thread

The SA4 renders I've seen show a notched metal nozzle, which I tend to prefer vs the SA6 straight nozzle. Small thing but I don't like ear tips coming off in the ear. Towards the end of my DN-1000's life that started to happen some.

Is it crazy to buy Sennheiser IE800s at this point?

Oh yeah I do have some of those monk earbuds. I swear I buy them every few years because I lose them or give a set away.

Is it crazy to buy Sennheiser IE800s at this point?

Yeah the fakes situation is pretty crazy. They are still in stock on Sennheiser, so that would be the only place to buy them. Just hard to justify a full-price purchase on a (soon to be) discontinued item.

Is it crazy to buy Sennheiser IE800s at this point?

I've been using Dunu DN-1000 for about 7 years. Great set of earphones particularly for the time. Now as they have lost their mesh grilles and replacement tips are getting old I'm looking for something new. I just bought some 64audio Nio's as replacements. Unfortunately my ear did not...

The Official 64 Audio Thread | apex & tia Technologies

I have a Nio coming in tomorrow; coming from a Dunu DN-1000 I'm ready to embrace some new-era IEM tech. Specifically the apex pressure relief- seems like some solid innovation. Though I hope the variable tuning aspect doesn't result in a "tuning ambiguity" vs a single, prime tuning that you...

From what I've gathered durability on these 64audio IEM's are fairly good but the most common failure point is the stock 2-pin cable, which many reviewers recommend replacing. This is odd to me for a 1k+ IEM, you would think the stock cable would be the best match for the IEM; not a detriment...
