    [New] Philips Fidelio X1

I absolutely love my X1's, but they do bleed on everything I set them on. Ruined a couple of sheets and documents that way. I just make sure that I put them back on their stand or in a case when I'm done listening for the day.

Haha, didn't know I'd get so much flack for disliking the color combo.     My workspace is an ocean of brushed aluminum with black accents - Lian-Li cases galore (4 on the desks alone). The only thing with any color is the red/black cable I have. It's fine, but I might have done it a...

40 hours is when I noticed a significant improvement.

Yep, that's what I use. The cable is very high quality and looks nice. I chose a red/black (interleaved) color cable. In hindsight, I should have gone for a grey/black color combo to match the rest of my equipment, red looks a little weird on a black/silver headphone.

    [New] Philips Fidelio X1

Alright, so instead of quoting multiple posts from the last couple of days, I'm just going to summarize what I have to say here.    Gaming with sound enhancements (EAX, SBX, etc) vs gaming with pure DAC   Many games are designed to take advantage of a specific sound enhancement suite...

There are better (cheaper) ways to get what you want. I'll edit this post tomorrow, assuming that you haven't yet purchased everything.

Man, that sucks! Sorry to hear about that. At least you have a backup for now.   What broke specifically? Was it the black plastic pin (has a flat-head notch) that holds the entire left ear assembly to the aluminum ring frame?   I wonder if we can easily replace that with an aluminum machine...

    [New] Philips Fidelio X1

I did something similar with my X1amp. I cranked it up to 11 (usually leave it on 2) while on a silent track to see if there was any distortion at high volumes. I accidentally played the next song without turning it down. I spent hours critically listening to make sure the headphones were...

^ I'm gonna let you guys battle that one out.. LOL On another note I've fallen in love with listening to Taylor swifts new song "shake it up" on these headphones - or more specifically the drums. Anyone have a suggestion for songs with similarly awesome drums?

The Aune X1 Pro does work with ASIO. I too had a similarly underwhelming experience until these folks set me straight and I took the time to setup ASIO and foobar2000. The sound "came alive" and you can notice an improvement without trying too hard. Having said that, I do agree with your...

    [New] Philips Fidelio X1

Let us know how it goes. I kinda wish I had a PS4 just because this setup would be too perfect for it! I'm pretty sure prime was a contributing factor to why I purchased as well. That damn one click ordering - so easy!    I made a typo in my post, I actually have a Maximus V Gene, so it's a...

Yes, you will very much enjoy that combination. These headphones are extremely easy to drive. They're 32 ohms so you wont have any problems powering them off of a computer, or a cellphone/iPod for that matter.. Later down the road you might want to invest in a different DAC/Soundcard but for now...

I'm not sure what he means by "not enough" - I assume it was just the never ending pursuit of "flawless" audio and matching it to your individual tastes. I very much liked the combination for the most part, enough to keep it for my desktop.   It was great for the majority of the music I play...
