Benchmark Dac3 for desk bookshelf speaker. dCS Lina for headphones.

Only full sized headphones. Because I only listen to music at the comfort of home. On the go, either I am driving or with my kids.

You spend like thousands or even tens of thousands on the last mile of the chain, to get probably 0.0001% to 0.1% of gain in sound quality (debatable still). Worth it ? I am not sure. Well, if we have unlimited disposable income, perhaps.

When they first came out , not much competition going around. They were the novelties. Indeed, most of them rested on their laurels for too long. The rest (and younger startups) came along and provided the much needed change in landscape.

Any folks have some form of experiencing/testing the 1266TC with dCS Lina ? Seems like two different settings offer somewhat different characteristics. 2v and High Gain 6v and Low Gain Both settings allow listening volume 11 to 11.30 position. Would like to know your thoughts. Thanks.

Finally, the 1266 has found its home (on the go between places) and yet feels safe. A world class headphone deserves a world class carrying case that is indestructible. For the price of the headphone, I wished Abyss could have supplied a case that is something decent at least.

Checking in with fellow users, how often do you change the earpads ? is it routine change for you (i.e. every year even without visible wear/tear) ? I believe headpad less tendency for us to change, as it just rest at top of head.

Any idea why the replacement pads and headband pads are perpetually OOS ?
