BEST ISOLATING - UNDER 200$ - FOR COMMUTE ???
Well I bought the Audio Technicas. I tested them yesterday. They sound amazing. Of course I can still hear some train sounds coming through, but the commute is a lot more tolerable. Sure they were 200$. But even if I end up getting IEMs some day, having those ATs around can prove...- wpautz

What is the best isolating headphone? (ATH-M50, DT770, ....)
I assume the graph is for the DT770M? There is lots of confusion surrounding the different DT770 variations.- wpautz

BEST ISOLATING - UNDER 200$ - FOR COMMUTE ???
A new thread because I gave up on the idea of active noise cancelation. No Bose for me. I figure I have done about 10 hours of research so far. I am seeking serious soud isolation, at all frequencies. I know there are many brands and models out there that do active noise...- wpautz

Extreme Isolation?
So Philip, still liking the Ex-25? I find myself seeking a full sized passive headphone with best isolating capabilities for commuting. At a reasonable price. And I am not an audiophile. So I care more about isolation, comfort and durability.- wpautz

Passive noice isolation or Active noise canceling? Considering Bose QC15, or Koss Pro4AA, or other quality isolation.
By the way, I realize I am being contradictory. Do I want perfect silence or don't I? I think that if I buy the Bose, there is a very real possibility that I will return them, whatever reason. Luckily they offer 30 days money back. But really the noise would have be truly 100% absent...- wpautz

Yeah, I don't know why I'm intent on getting bulky headphones. I guess it seems to me that they'd do a better job at protecting me from noise. Plus they'd keep my ears warm in the winter! Couple years ago I tried some inserts. I think it may have been the Shure Se210. I forget...- wpautz

Hi, I'm new to the forum. Sorry if I haven't my homework, I haven't read many of the threads, I'm very very tired and should be in bed. I have an ipod, and rather long commute on a rather loud Skytrain + bus (Vancouver, BC). I need some serious noise reduction. The noise pollution is...- wpautz
