Sibling Rivalry; The Woo WA2 vs The Woo WA6SE (review posted: update 6-3-2011)

The results of your research are very similar to mine, we must've read the same reviews! I had the Quicksilver HPA which is a competitor to the WA6-SE. Powerful, quick, dynamic and very SS sounding. Definitelty a dryer and cooler presentation than the WA2. The conclusion for me was that the...

Sibling Rivalry; The Woo WA2 vs The Woo WA6SE (review posted: update 6-3-2011)

Wouldn't the WA2 be a better match for the HD800S' 300 ohm impedance? I own the WA2 and think it is heavenly with the HD800 however i haven't heard the WA-6 SE.

    Chord Mojo Modification ??

I did the same mod without drilling anything, i just loosened the screws a little bit, just enough to create space for the wires to get out. It doesn't matter since it is stationary/permanent desktop. Dust getting in? No problem, i placed a thin strip on black electrical tape over the creased area.

    Volumio Primo/Rivo/Integro

Ichos, As an owner of the Rivo, can you please confirm it supports folder view - it is the only aspect holding me back from purchasing it. My use case would be an external USB drive with the following folder structure: Genre (main folder) >Artist (sub folder) >>Album(s) (sub-sub folder)...

    Chord Mojo(1) DAC-amp ☆★►FAQ in 3rd post!◄★☆

I'm not aware of a specific thread outlining the process, i just opened mine, disconnected and removed the battery, then connected an external 7.5vdc power supply where the battery was connected using the cable i referenced. Here's a shot of the circuit board showing the location of the battery...

The Official Beyerdynamic T1 Impressions and Discussion Thread

Soundstage is bigger, wider, taller and airier on the HD800, however the T1 soundstage is more natural/realistic/focused and overall i find the T1 more precise and articulate. I use the T1 for critical listening and specific music genres and i use the HD800 to sit back and relax. I love them...

The Official Beyerdynamic T1 Impressions and Discussion Thread

I have both the HD800 and T1 gen1. They sound different indeed and they have one thing in common: they are both at their best and excel with OTL tube amps.

The all new Continental Dual Mono

Got it. Maybe the iPower2 has an advantage over the stock charger based on the specs; 1.5A (stock) vs 1.8A (iPower2).

The all new Continental Dual Mono

Yeah, in the end i think i will just leave the battery in. At least the charger is connected to a power strip that has an on/off switch therefore i can stop the charging after use even when the charger is plugged in.

The all new Continental Dual Mono

Very interesting, i wasn't aware the CDM doesn't have an internal charging circuit. Out of curiosity, are you using the iPower2 because you don't have the stock charger or because you feel it is better?

The all new Continental Dual Mono

Right but is there a risk of damaging the circuit if there's too much current? I'm trying to find a power supply that outputs a current value that is equivalent to that of the battery pack.

The all new Continental Dual Mono

Thank you for your feedback. I already tried this method and indeed it works, however i find it to not be ideal because it uses the charging circuit to operate the amp. I would prefer to avoid this hence the question for an external power supply. Also, in back-to-back tests (battery v. stock...
