The Etymotics HF5 Thread
Well I'm sticking with the hfs, the bass is decent and i think it can be boosted to where I want it with an amp. Can anyone recommend some other tios though. The tri flange that come with it, fit nicely and sound great but they hurt my ears, is there any other tips that are just as isolating but...- Vimes

Hf5 with more bass?
They sound good but I've seen too many reviews talking about reliability issues so it's a not really an option for me.- Vimes

Shure Se215 or Etymonics HF5?
Well I'm just saying what I hear. They aren't counterfit and they fit perfectly in my ears. They quite noticeably less clear and more recessed than the hf5s to me, and by that I mean the vocals sound more distant and theres more muddnyness in the instruments. I do think they have a wider...- Vimes

Shure Se215 or Etymonics HF5?
Sound interesting but I'm guessing the warranty is a year if any. Just gonna say to op, I just listened to the shures again after listening to hf5 for last day, and at first there's a very welcome mount of base, but listen for a bit longer, bass aside they just don't compare, they are muffled...- Vimes

Hf5 with more bass?
Well price range would be from £50 - £150 max. I mean if it's £150 it has to have a reliable warranty because I'm not paying that much for something that's likely to break. Having a quick google for T Peos H-200 in uk I cant find any sellers so probably not a good option for me.- Vimes

Shure Se215 or Etymonics HF5?
Think maybe you misread, I meant they don't have any colour, a very neutral sound. What are the fxt90's like build construction and reliability wise do you know?- Vimes

Hf5 with more bass?
Now i've had the hf5s for a couple of days and the more I listen to them the better they sound, the sound is so clear and sharp. There are subtle details in tracks that I didn't notice before, they really are great on detail and clarity. They are almost perfect but Coming from using the...- Vimes

Shure Se215 or Etymonics HF5?
I've tried both these iems and I'd say the hf5 is a fair bit better when it comes to overall sound quality. The shures have a kind of more muffled sound, alot of emphasis on bass but not amazing detail. The hfs do lack bass and colour somewhat though but it's something you might adjust too. I...- Vimes

The Etymotics HF5 Thread
So I got these a few days ago. An first impressions were they were rubbish. Then i realized I didn't have a proper seal then wow what a difference that made. The more I listen to them the better they sound, the sound is so clear and sharp. There are subtle details in tracks that I didn't...- Vimes

NRB Mod... Nut Rattlin Bass from an Ety?!? Yes, Yes, YES!!! [How To] NRB Mod...
This is an interesting thread. I just got the hf5s and I'm really enjoying them But I listen to a lot of electronic music and I just want a bit more punch and "wobble". I Don't really want to sacrifice the details and current sound though. Just the same with more bass. I'm hearing mixed...- Vimes

Yamaha eph-100 alternatives?

Yamaha EPH-100
Shame that so many companies are conning people out of money then. I know higher pricer doesn't mean better product, but normally with technology the higer priced items are better, in general. Though I think there's a definite increase in quality compared to monoprice but I do prefer the harsher...- Vimes

Yamaha EPH-100
The price isn't a massive deal, but obviously something that costs 20 times as much as the other should be a fair sight better. I've been playing around with eq settings on these yamahas though and I'm really starting to enjoy them, definitely need a bit of use before they burn in or adjust to...- Vimes

Yamaha EPH-100
I'll definitley wait a day or 2 before I make a decision. I'm just trying to figure is it gonna be worth the huge price difference to keep them. My monprice iesm are actually quite good, but i can't get a proper seal that well so the bass never sounds right. I think the yamahas are of better...- Vimes
