Review: Resonessence Labs Invicta - new high end DAC/amp/playback system
I usually equate "smooth" with muffled. Listening to some remastered recordings from the late 50s I found one to be somewhat bright. Then I discovered that it had been remastered using B&W speakers which IMHO have a rolled off top end. No wonder it was bright. Then listened to some DG remasters...- veritas aurum

Review: Resonessence Labs Invicta - new high end DAC/amp/playback system
I disagree with the "forward sounding" comment. If you listen to primarily studio recordings, many engineers tweek the 2.5k range to enhance prescence. A natural live recording is the only real test. I do not find any anomalies in the Anedios sound. I do find it rather cable sensitive. I just...- veritas aurum

You cannot go wrong with the D2. I am primarily a classical listener and have a very purist system. I find the D2 has all of the attributes you have described as needing. Regards- veritas aurum

Anyone using V3 with cd transport?
Is anyone using V3 to clean up the output of a cd player or transport before a DAC? If so, what is your opinion of the results? Thanks- veritas aurum

Review: Resonessence Labs Invicta - new high end DAC/amp/playback system
The BNC is far superior to the RCA. Convert all of your RCAs to BNCs. No excuse for still using this lousy connector especially for digital. Regards- veritas aurum

Anedio D2 DAC release
Component selection certainly plays a large part in SQ. There are many new technologies available-Cree SIT diodes, Niobium caps, smd bulk foil resistors, etc. Then there is layout. particularly in digital devices. Others would cite power supply, output stage, low jitter, or other attributes...- veritas aurum

Anedio D2 DAC release
As Von Recklinghausen (of H.H. Scott and one of my heroes) once said "If it measures good and sounds bad, your are measuring the wrong things". I just think James at Anedio is measuring the RIGHT things. Regards- veritas aurum

Audio-gd Digital Interface
I use the DI between a TASCAM cd200 and an Anedio D2. I have upgraded both clocks both have never used the upsampling. I told you I was a puriist! Regards- veritas aurum

Audio-gd Digital Interface
Quote: It depends on how revealing your system is and how "picky" you are. I noticed a distinct improvement with the 12mhz upgrade, but I listen to some brutally revealing speakers in a very purist system. Regards- veritas aurum

That should be niobiium. AVX is the manufacturer, but only up to 10v. Regards- veritas aurum

See if they make nobium oxide in 47uf. They are a higher quality replacement for tantalum. Regards- veritas aurum

Audio-gd Digital Interface
The new version uses SMD components which I think are better for digital. I would suggest upgrading the clocks, as I found that to make a substantial difference. YRMV. Regards- veritas aurum

Anedio D2 DAC release
I agree with Viper. I was enjoying my D2 fed by my cheap Tascam CD200. When I added the Audio-gd DI, subtle nuances that I had not heard before suddenly were clearly audible. All the things cited by Viper. Regards- veritas aurum
