WOW nice 

I bought the HE400 and Ultrasone 780 one is portable other is not, the HE400 has better sound quality but the 780's are just easier to use. 

Ultrasone Hfi780    Beyer Ones    Heck buy the M50's for $80 use them as your everyday headphones, with the extra $220 you have saved buy a set of open back headphones and start saving up for an amp =) 

Google: DAC will give you all the info you need instantly. The M50 will benefit from an amp, in your price range I would recommend Fiio, search there product line many great options to chose from.

Beyerdynamic DT990's are a fun headphone, great for movies, games, music that depends on what genre you listen to, they can be purchased from Amazon for 190$, they are open back so isolation will not be the best..with the 60$ savings I would recommend picking up an amp if you don't have one...

I currently own Hfi 780's, I am considering upgrading to the Pro 900's. Anyone here have experience with both cans that could share any key differences between the two cans?    Sound and comfort are my two main concerns.    Thank you all in advance for any feedback. 

The $400+ price tag is what draws consumers to these types of headphones. They are flashy and used as an accessory, consumers   are drawn to them because the $120 better sounding just as portable M50's don't look as "cool".   Its a fad that  will soon pass, remember when putting loud fart...
