RIP Joseph Grado 07/05/1924-02/06/2015
Anyone who enjoys music should pause for a moment and give thanks for the life of Joe Grado... "Don’t cry for me for I go where music is born" ~ Johann Sebastian Bach (1685 - 1750) Thank you Danny for sharing this sad news, as well as being such a fine friend to Joe for many years. Joe Grado: Happy 88th Birthday
Many thanks Paul, The personalized drawings were very nice contributions to the party. I believe that Danny, Evelyn, Mike and Bonnie would agree with me that Joe was very pleased to have them as a remembrance of your friendship. Kind regards, Martin- unkamartin

Here's a link to a collection of images from CanFEST 2012: http://tinyurl.com/cbm5s6m I'll pass the individual image files found at the above link along to Danny as soon as I'm able. Again, a job well done by the organizers and a fine time had by all. -
3/31/12 CanFEST III Headphone Event (with Turntable and Vinyl Show) IMPRESSIONS
Once again Danny and the other organizers did an outstanding job today with the latest version of CanFest in Charlotte, NC. It was great seeing so many familiar faces who were vendors, those who came to see and test out their latest and greatest offerings as well as a living legend like Joe...- unkamartin

Box/Carrying case for Grado HP-1000
Paul, I just noticed this one and wasn't sure if I had sent you a pm or not in response to your question. Joe uses Ziploc bags to keep particulate matter out of his personal phones and I do as well. To me it's an inexpensive way of helping to protect your investment. I'd think that once...- unkamartin

CanFest 2010 Charlotte, Saturday, August 14, 2010
Elk, As was the case with CanFest 2010, these images turned out great. This is especially the case considering they were made with a cellphone. What type phone were you using? Regardless, thanks for sharing them with us. -
CanFest 2010 Charlotte, Saturday, August 14, 2010

Joseph Grado Signature Holographic Microphone ~ new images
Many thanks GreatDane. Sorry for the slow response, but as mentioned earlier, unfortunately I’m only an occasional user of Head-Fi. I've pulled the images you had mentioned, for the time being. Joe Grado is no longer making this model of mic, although it's still sublime and we used...- unkamartin

Box/Carrying case for Grado HP-1000
Paul, Sorry for the slow response. I was away over the weekend and just now noticing your follow-up question. Joe is really down on foam when used in direct contact with phones and his latest microphones; due to the amount of time he has had to spend over the years picking the stuff out...- unkamartin

Box/Carrying case for Grado HP-1000
Paul, Joe Grado stores his HP-1000’s in zip lock bags when not in use, even if they are inside another container. I do likewise. Since he first introduced the HP-1000, Joe has noticed that the blue foam supplied with the original box decomposes with the passage of time and leaves deposits...- unkamartin
