A difference of opinion and tradeoff's, I suppose. The ending you recommend would have been elegant, just as it was elegant that they omitted the actual assassination and assassin. Maybe I would I have liked that ending better, but I didn't see the actual last scene(s) as eye-rolling bad...- tw9000

OK, I'll have to take that back. Now that I think about it, I can imagine people not liking it. If you are not interested in ideas or history, I guess you wouldn't like it.- tw9000

You know you're an audiophile when....
You re-watch the movie 9 1/2 Weeks to watch the Nakamichi cassette deck automatically flip the tape, and tell your friends and yourself that you really think Kim Basinger is hot.- tw9000

Headfier's, I Need your input: What attributes do you commonly use to critique sound quality?
Draws me into the music so that I forget any attributes of the sound and therefore can't answer your question. Seriously, the only question is: does it draw me into the music? I can analyze the various hi-fi aspects of the sound, but anymore, I just don't care.- tw9000

new headphones?
Only negative I know of with the HD600 is that they do require decent amplification. A cheaper headphone can sometimes sound better on a very cheap source (such as a cheap mp3 player or laptop). Same thing is true of speakers: a really great amp will make cheap speakers sound better, but really...- tw9000

Powering the HD 650, a Good, Flexible System?
It's not cheap, but a Cary 300sei might fit your needs. It's very warm and tubey, but wouldn't call it distorted, and it will drive full size speakers as a bonus. It works great with the Senn 600/650's.- tw9000

Do audiophiles "like" music?
This similar version of this question is often asked about backpacking: are you here to focus on the equipment or the great outdoors? And the implication is the same: it's somehow "good" to focus on the outdoors, and "bad" to focus on the equipment. But that implication is a mistake. The...- tw9000

HD600 cable upgrade - worth it?
I have the HD600's and Cardas cable. I noticed the sound improvement instantly. Once, after I had been using the Cardas cable for a long time, I had the regular Senn cable in the headphone for some reason (I think I needed to use the mini plug) and forgot about it. Later, I started...- tw9000

USB cables - Should I buy a better one or stick with the cheapo?
I also have the Audioquest forest USB cables. I wanted to get something better than standard cheap cable, but nothing fancy. They seem to sound good in my system, although I haven't felt the need to compare them to anything else.- tw9000

USB cables - Should I buy a better one or stick with the cheapo?
It's true that if you do a download of a .mp3 file over the internet that passes through a USB port (on an external wi-fi adapter say), the downloaded file would be bit-perfect, and the quality of the USB cable would have literally zero impact on the resulting sound of the .mp3 file when it is...- tw9000
