Haha, yes that darn Urushi coating certainly makes them more expensive... which is annoying as even though it's beautiful, I'd rather sacrifice it and pay less. I still love the TH900's, they were my first real headphone... But damn I am loving these Beyers. :D

I am finding that the T1's aren't too different from the TH900's... The T1's are slightly brighter and the TH900's have a more powerful bass impact than the T1's... The vocals  are more forward on the T1's which I find preferable. But honestly, I don't notice too much difference in the overall...

I'll be using the Burson Soloist SL with the T1's. I do not wish to take these out nor my TH900's as they're too expensive to risk damaging for me. Plus I don't like other people hearing my music

Just bought a T1 from the US (I'm based in UK) from Razordog. Was quite a good deal, my package is still being processed by customs according to USPS. However it is guaranteed to come by tomorrow! So I'm holding on patiently... Sorry to sound ignorant but what exactly is 'open box display'?
