The Viper effects apk for android is available for download but can't be installed without rooting the device. That requires an unlocked bootloader. Can you provide a firmware/software update with an unlocked bootloader so this can be done?

That link takes you to the standard Fiio download page. The M version of all those downloads do not have Viper. I don't think the X7 does either but no way to know without confirmation from someone who owns one. The only hope is that the "X" version would work on the M players...but I think...
