Kickstarter Headphone - Grain Audio, any thoughts?

I still haven't received mine - e-mailed Grain Audio and haven't received a response.   My friend received his and they are quite nice. I like their build, they are very comfortable, and they have a nice sound. Recessed soundstage, which takes some getting used to. Higher impedance, needed to...

Kickstarter Headphone - Grain Audio, any thoughts?

I'm still in for the OEHP - they look beautiful, but at this point, news of their impending delivery is no more exciting to me than news of another delay. I'm over it - hah.

iem sound better when slightly pressing with fingers?

When you press them in, you are hearing how they would sound if the tips you used provided you with a proper seal.   Sometimes it is tip diameter that prevents you from getting a good seal. Sometimes it is tip material that stops you from maintaining a good seal (they slide out).   If they...

Shure SE535: Reviews and First Impressions Thread

Received my pair yesterday in the mail - $300 CAD new from London Drugs. I had been reading about these for about a month and didn't even hesitate when I saw them listed at that price (Thanks, Deals thread.)     I am very impressed by these monitors. I ordered a bunch of filters that should...

SE530/535 Acoustic Filter Mod: More SQ improvement than cables? Dampers!

Was able to snag new SE535s from the London Drugs sale last month ($399!) and just now placed an order for some filters. I've got white, red, green, grey, orange and brown coming my way. Looking forward to further tuning the sound to my tastes!

Headphone Bar in Vancouver has an open-box HD800 for $1239.00 + $0.01 fixed shipping. I know it's not GTA, but the shipping is negligible.   http://www.headphonebar.com/sennheiser-hd800-open-box/

    Need help with Shure se215

Be hopeful and confident that they will arrive and work issue-free!   I've found my pair to be extremely resilient. They are my gym headphones. Perhaps I treat them this way because I managed to purchase them for $36 open-box at London Drugs two years ago.

Narmoo! What is that? NEW iem from New company the RIM.

I've only got about 30 hours burn-in. I should do more, because the harsh treble was the first issue I noticed.

I'm Done (Vsonic GR02 Bass Edition) VS GR06

I agree with what elvergun said.   I bought my GR07 BE last month after owning the GR02 BE for about nine months. The GR07 BE is terrific, and a very noticeable upgrade from the GR02 BE. Better separation, soundstage, cleaner bass.

Kickstarter Headphone - Grain Audio, any thoughts?

I'm patiently waiting for the OEHP to be finished and delivered - it's not like I haven't other headphones to listen to in the meantime! If their other products are any indication (and I feel that they are), we will receive a quality product. $150 spent last May is still alright for me, even if...

I'm Done (Vsonic GR02 Bass Edition) VS GR06

I haven't heard the older version with the extra tips. I didn't know there was a difference sonically between the two.   At the time I purchased I think both versions could be had for the same price. I was kicking myself when I realized I had bought the one with less tips.   You get so...
