AKG K3003 High End 3 Way System Headphone

I'm not sure if there is a thread specific to the K3s but there is a thread that is titled something like 'songs that make you're headphones go wooooow!' or similar. People post songs specific to headphones there. Cool thread. I'd link to it but I'm on mobile and don't know how to :/

If you listen to Wah-Wah, it shows off what the K3s can do soundstage-wise. Lots of width and a good sense of depth for an iem.

Try them out with a copy of All Things Must Pass by George Harrison if you want a similar reproduction from the K3s - they handle that album really, really well.    Also - famous last words - If I had a dollar for each time I uttered that line, I'd have enough for a pair of Layla's by now!

Too many IEMs for me at the moment otherwise I might keep both - I'll prob keep my GR10e's as my backup set; just love their warmth and presentation of vocals.

Aaaaand my wallet just cried a little :'(    I think I'll do the same as you did - buy the Angie, do a little A/B'ing and then sell the 'loser' although the K3s have been anything but loser-like. I'll certainly miss them if and when I sell them.

Speaking of Angie - has anyone got any comparisons between the Angie and K3003? I'm trying to source a pair of Angie's so I can do one but wondered if anyone else had done it yet.

Make the change—with one tiny wire.FiiO Headphone cable- RC-X will be in the market

I just picked up a pair of the WT-1s to go with my SM64. I really do not like the memory guides on the SM64 stock cable so for that alone the Fiio's are better for me. I'm digging the sound out of them so far - not that much noticeable difference, maybe a tiny bit of help with the bass but that...

Looking for an IEM that Has Forward and details mids, but also punchy tight and accurate bass, with just the right amount of treble.

People have been suggesting the 535s so I'll jump in and say that you'd most probably enjoy the PFE 232s. If price isn't an issue for you getting the 535s then it's not much of a further stretch for the 232s (depending on location) and they really blast the 535s out of the water in pretty much...

[NEWS / DISCUSSION / IMPRESSION] Phonak Audéo PFE232

Quote:   Totally agree with your thoughts on the treble of the 232s. The thing that clinched it for me is the ability of the 232s to faithfully recreate the sound of a closed hi-hat. As a drummer, I often listen out for this detail when I listen to music and the 232s capture it...

[NEWS / DISCUSSION / IMPRESSION] Phonak Audéo PFE232

Just picked up my pair from a fellow Head-fi'er. Best universals I've used - I've used the UM3Xs, X10is, W4s (briefly), TF10s, Shure 535s the list goes on... I'm excited by these much more than the others after 2 hours use. They're balanced, refined, exquisite even. They're also highly...

Do Head-Fiers have horrible musical taste?

Perhaps an insight into 'good' taste would be required on your part now...?

Just bought a pair of Sennheiser IE7's

I can't talk about the seller as i have no experience dealing with them, but i just got my IE7s last week and am very impressed. I've had the IE6s, the Klipsch Image X10s, and most recently was using the Monster Turbines. The thing i get from the IE7s that the others didn't give me is...

Sennheiser ie7(isolation) or Klipsch Custom 3(cable)

I use my Monster Turbine single flanges (large) in my IE7s and they sound great and isolate well... The supergels from Monster are supposed to be great apparently.

Sennheiser IE8 vs Klipsch Image x10 vs JAYS q-Jays

No one put up a fight for the IE7s Not as much bass as the IE8s, narrower soundstage (slightly) but i got mine for £100 thanks to Play and i'm so impressed with them. I used to have the X10s - cable broke after a few months. Trying to get a replacement was a nightmare. I've got the IE6s too - i...
