Best IEM for a bass head?

Do you know if that 30% deal has ended? The code doesn't appear to be working. Thanks, Simon

    HFI-780 Creating tighter fit...possible?

I've just taken the elastic bands off and it seems to have worked a treat :)   Other than clamping the things to my head I don't think I'm going to get a tighter fit!   Simon

    HFI-780 Creating tighter fit...possible?

I've just folded the headphones as small as they could and banded them with a couple of elastic bands, I'll leave them overnight and see what happens.   I experiemented with an elastic band over the headband whilst wearing them and it did improve the fit and sound, the only problem being I...

    HFI-780 Creating tighter fit...possible?

Guys,   I've recently purchased the Ultrasone HFI-780 and I'm happy with my purchase apart from the bass impact, it just doesn't seem as strong as I was expecting.   The sound, and bass is much better when I press the cups tighter to my head, getting a better seal and ultimately closer...

    Headphones, bass AND clarity...HELP.

I take it back, after giving them a chance and not doing my best to hate them I actually like them.   After getting a better fit on my head the bass sounds better, whilst it's not as loud as the Bose phones it sounds better and more in keeping with the music, plus the Bose phones distort at...

    Headphones, bass AND clarity...HELP.

They are certainly good headphones, just not as good as I'd hoped really.   It's almost as if they aren't well enough sealed on my head. When I press the cups into my ears they sound great, nice deep bass but then I let go and they feel too far away from my ears!

    Headphones, bass AND clarity...HELP.

Received these in the post today and I have to say I'm not blown away completely to be honest, for £150!   Connected straight to my ipod they aren't great at all pretty flat, not very bassy. Connected with the fiio E5 amp the sound is certainly better, bit wider soundstage and fuller bass...

    Headphones, bass AND clarity...HELP.

Hi pal, I've got a pair  of HFI 780s in the post now.   Think I'm going to give them a chance and if I don't like them, either send them back or sell them.   Simon

    Headphones, bass AND clarity...HELP.

Well it's worth a try for just over a tenner!   I'm thinking of buying another set of headphones to make a proper comparison and send the lesser ones back. What do you guys think?   If I were to just test the 780s I wouldnt have much to go off, I know what sound I like but I haven't had...

    Headphones, bass AND clarity...HELP.

Thanks for the replies guys, feel somewhat better about my purchase now. Can't wait to listen to them!   I have also just bought a fiio e5 as an impulse purchase off ebay, was £12 so thought why not. Will they help the sound?   Thanks,     Simon

    Headphones, bass AND clarity...HELP.

Hi guys,   I've been researching which headphones to buy and after looking at loads of reviews from this forum and elsewhere.   My criteria is bass and clarity. I listen to predominantly rap/hip hop/dubstep/drum and bass but my music taste extends to all kinds of realms so they need to...

Newbie needing help for bassy earphones

After the replies here and looking at various reviews I think I have narrowed it down to 2, the atrios and the FX500s. The atrios seem a better option due to the availability in the UK but I absolutely love the look of the FX500s!! Would a new source be completely necessary if I were to buy a...

Newbie needing help for bassy earphones

That's definately something to think about! If I did upgrade my source I'd probably upgrade my headphones at the same time as well! So you're right, my wallet will hate me! Are there any side by side reviews of headphones suggested above. Usually I would try and listen to the audio...
