    Sony MDR-7520

"Music Equalizer" lets you save presets. I have saved presets for when I use cans like the MDR-V6 or the Klipsch S4. There are quite a few different EQ apps, so better options may be out there.

    Sony MDR-7520

Quite interesting that there seem to be different impressions on the sound of the 7520.   I don't hear any sibilance at all. I find the overall sound signature to be quite warm. Dark, even. The high frequency is there, but the tonality is very pleasant.   Some have said the bass is a bit...

    NEW Vali Schiit AMP!!!

I placed an order for a Vali last Wed. FedEx tracking page showed Tue., 1/28 as the delivery date from the get-go.   Yesterday morning, the page showed "on FedEx truck for delivery." I had brought a 3.5mm to RCA cable so I can at least try the Vali from the computer or phone at work.   Then...

    NEW Vali Schiit AMP!!!

Hi JHern, shouldn't something like the below work?   http://www.soundhouse.co.jp/shop/ProductDetail.asp?Item=656%5EAC16V1A%5E%5E   Edit: Of course, the tips need to match, and regulated/unregulated may be another thing to consider. But I thought maybe you can find an adapter you can use...

    Sony MDR-7520

I also agree about the bass tightening and becoming less prominent in time.    This may be just me, but I find the bass impact to be dependent on the amp. 7520's bass is quite polite on a lot of songs from my phone; has a little more impact from my computer; and was quite...

    Sony MDR-7520

It could very well be due to the improved clarity rather than efficiency.   Pretty much every other pair of headphones I've used has a volume level at which they start sounding much better. In other words, until the volume reaches a certain level, most headphones do not sound *that* great...

    Sony MDR-7520

Hi fishymamba, I've had a pair of V6 for over 20 years, and just got a 7520 about a month ago.   To me, the V6 has a lot of detail, but lacks bass impact, and the highs are quite pronounced and can be splashy.   The first thing that you will most likely notice with the 7520 is the bass...

Did you read all of my posts on this thread?

    Sony MDR-7520

Only 1 product listed on the Japanese page. Two on the UK page (yes, the 7520 would probably be there if it weren't pulled in Europe). Five on the US page. If you don't think that qualified as "all over the place," that's fine. Perhaps "inconsistent" would have been to your liking?   Ah...

I am Japanese, born there and was there until 13, when I moved to South America. Been in the States for over 20 years now, though.

    Sony MDR-7520

Hi Mike, F, I did not want to bore people any more with this topic, so I said that was my last post about it. But since you requested (^_^), here goes ...   This is very, very interesting.   Sony Japan's "pro" page only lists the 7506 (at the bottom of the page the page)...

    Sony MDR-7520

This is my last post about Z1000 / 7520 and their intended market / use.   One thing to keep in mind is that 7520 has not been released in Japan by Sony. It is available through third-party retailers, but it is not listed on Sony's Japanese website.   MDR-Z1000 is what Sony considers...

    Sony MDR-7520

K550 has emphasis on high mids and highs. To my ears, the higher frequencies are not just emphasized, but also sounds a little weird. Bass is quite weak.   I've only heard the 600-ohm version of the DT880 through a Benchmark DAC1. Quite nice sounding with a clear emphasis on the highs. It's...

    Sony MDR-7520

Absolutely. All that matters is that you and I -- and a bunch of us on this thread -- enjoy the heck out of the 7520, regardless of how it was developed or what the intended market was.   I apologize if my earlier posts were confusing. It was not my intention to make it sound like Sony...
