Roll call: Indians staying in India, interested in high end headphones/IEMS
Do you need dac or amp or dap or dac+amp or dac+amp+dap ? You need to narrow it down... FiiO, iBasso dap product ranges cover all. Portable has many meaning (size, battery/power) and you are looking for PC, one suggestion would be ODAC+O2 from JDS Labs. For dac you can get venturecraft, meridien...- santhoshr

If you still love Etymotic ER4, this is the thread for you...
Listening with DX50 line out -> O2 with Er4p2s. Music came forward, gears disappeared. Training ears to take Triple flanges is rewarding experience IMO, the isolation and sound quality is top notch. Can't believe single BA earphone can provide this level of sound quality, it also proves point...- santhoshr

Inspired by this mod http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/ii-earphones-snap-strap I used Twist tie, to create something similar, and they work amazing, using it for few days, and I love it...- santhoshr

^^^ very detailed. Thanks. I have to agree on PFE112 distortion, the same things happen to PFE232 as well, I don't know if it is to be called distortion, but after hearing ER4P/S it is evident most likely the help came from channel matched drivers. Also the vocal projection of ER4P/S is...- santhoshr

Thanks, warmish sound/smoothed treble then likely it is not for me I have never been impressed with X10, MH1C, or Westone 4, though all are good for short listening sessions. That's great might pull trigger on 'at least' used hf earphone. I have PFE012+Grey filter, I'm...- santhoshr

Now, I wanted to have HF series or at least MC series to use it outside, I feel bad for missing out on $19 for MC series in Amazon. I recently got A161P before ER4P, and I found it to be fantastic, sadly I'm don't want to listen to A161P too, though I find it to be closer to Ety sound with inc...- santhoshr

Help me! this is real bad, nobody told me about this when I'm buying my ER4P, there should be some disclaimer on the first post at least. I just couldn't listen to any other IEM anymore! I tried to love my PFE232 back by changing filters, ear tips, including ety triple flanges! damn nothing...- santhoshr

Shure se535, and Westone 4R need help to make a decision!!!!
I had 535LTD and listened to my friend's Westone 4, 535 noise isolation is much better than 4r but cumbersome to take it out and put it back if you have to do it often (like office), 4R should be better here. Comfort to my ears Westone 4 is better, for the sound quality I will rank 535 ahead of...- santhoshr

Shure se535le or Audeo pfe232?
I had both, for Rock both of them will fail. For acoustic/vocal music Shure 535LTD will excel. PFE232 got good soundstage and laid-back signature, got great comfort, it is more like jack of all genre kind of earphone, excelling in nothing but technically very good up there with top tier...- santhoshr
