    I don't think I am going to see my rs-1/sr-71/dej2000 again..neighbors

I say let her use them as long as you feel comfortable with it. I've tried doing what you're doing with my own family, and it really hasn't worked out all that well, but things are still holding together. Its really cool that you're doing this for people who really aren't your responsibility.

What was your favorite toy when you were a kid?

Mine was the original hot rod action figure. Once my brother came along, all my transformers either disappeared or were destroyed. That specific one, if I still had it in the original box would be worth a couple thousand.

My favorite fantasy books are the Night Watch subset of Terry Pratchett's discworld. Its funny, the character's are inventive and the stories can be very interesting.

KSC75's if you don't mind reattaching the driver housing to the earclip all the time, and they're $11 at Meijer right now. Portapro-2's if you need something that'll last forever. They're $30 at circuit city.

    HELP choosing a USB DAC!!

Your best options are either a microdac or the optical output of an optoplay or creative mp3+ fed to a CI-Audio VDA-1. If you go with a microdac, I'd still get the optoplay or creative and see whether or not you prefer the optical out to the usb interface. I thought there was a slight...
