Grado SR80 Driver Casing 3D Model?
Does anyone have an STL or 3D Model of a grado driver casing? I damaged mine trying to take the cups off. If someone can make the models, I'd happily mail you a printed version.- rhead

Roll call: Indians staying in India, interested in high end headphones/IEMS
Not particularly High End, but where do you guys get your Grados from. A little bit of searching reveals a LOT of price variation across websites like Proaudiohome and snapdeal for the 225s I just wanted to know where to get the best deal ;)- rhead

Earbuds <50$?
So, I'm not sure about what song signature I like - I love my grado sr80s and chc silverados. I'm also really happy with the Klipsch S4i but I need a less pricey set of earbuds for the gym. The s4's are ideal but since I've lost 2 pairs already, my wallet can't take it. I tried a pair...- rhead

Calling All Grado Owners! 3D Printed Cup Project In Progress. Need Cup Dimensions/3D Models.
Actually, I'd love to try this - I have a broken pair of SR80s and a 3d printer lying around. I can give someone measurements if they wouldn't mind modeling it?- rhead

Legality questions for DIY amps
So, being that I live in india, it's fairly difficult to get a hold of parts for audio stuff, stuff like cmoyBBs or O2 amps which are fairly easy to build in the states are quite harder to source here. I was wondering if I were to design my own PCB based off the the designs available on the...- rhead

Salvage or Repair ideas for Shure SRH 440s?
I really like the sound of my SRH 440's, which is why when I broke the first one, I bought another - but I've broken 2 pairs now, in exactly the same way. By falling asleep in them. The piece of plastic that connects the earcups to the headband snaps, everything else about the headphones...- rhead

First major DIY project : designing a portable headphone amp. Where to begin?
So I finally got around to doing some research and came up with this. http://i.imgur.com/aCv2HW0.jpg Needless to say heavily inspired by Chu moy. To answer nikon god's questions from the previous thread I had made, Rvarpot is a variable resistor b/w 2-3k.- rhead

First major DIY project : designing a portable headphone amp. Where to begin?
Thank you so much, just a couple of questions - wouldn't 2 9V batteries be very bulky for a portable headphone amp? I don't intend on using a wall adapter or anything like that so plain DC sounds fine to me. If I'm reading this right, I would need 2 stages, the first stage that has an opamp...- rhead

First major DIY project : designing a portable headphone amp. Where to begin?
So I wanted to design my own portable headphone amplifier (I broke my FiiO). Now I've built some Cmoy's and PPAs in the past, and I've completed some decently big electronics projects before - so I'm confident in my ability to actually build it, but I don't know how to design one. I know the...- rhead

Do audiophiles "like" music?
Admittedly I'm only a kid, who's entire system including multiple headphones, 1 amp/dac cost less than what some people on here have spent on a single headphone, but I have listened to Shine on you crazy diamond and sky moves sideways every day for the last 7 years. You can take everything if it...- rhead
