spend a tad more and get the audigy 2 value instead.

there seems to be a volume bug or something, whenever any eq effects are applied, the volume get really low. also the volume in winamp goes down for no reason sometimes. creative's reputation for having buggy drivers is certainly well deserved.

i got my card, sounds a lot better than the sb live. games and movies sound sooo much better now. the audigy 2 drivers are a bit buggy though...

i guess i'll go with the a2. i'd love an xfi but unfortunately i don't have 200 bucks to spend on a soundcard.

i had a similar problem when i was using the nvidia nforce2 ide drivers. i switched to the default microsoft driver and the problem went away.

I know on some mobos, if you are running 2 different speeds of ram, it will automatically default to the speed of the slowest stick. So it's possible that the 333 ram is running at 266 already. If it's not, drop the 333 stick to 266 so you're at 1:1 which is the fastest.

Haha dell tech support is near impossible to deal with. Not only are they incredibly incompetent, you cannot understand a word they say. Completely unfair to consumers. I don't use a dell computer but I've ordered parts from them before. Never again will I.
