I just received these yesterday and have been comparing them with my HD202s. At first i was suprised by the lack of bass. When driven by my soundcard (av710), both phones sound weak. When driven from my pioneer receiver the 202s gain alot of bass and sound full. The AD700 however doesn't improve...

I recently made the switch from Santa Cruz to the AV-710. It was a definite improvement. The bass extends lower and the overall sound isn't as muddy. I also notice more details with this card. These are the improvements i hear and i only have crap HD 202s.
