When I was building my gainclone, isolating the RCA input jacks killed my hum. Definitely try that.

Will one of those NOS dacs such as the one at diyparadise.com noticeably outperform the hi-res output on my chaintech av710? if I were to build the dac I would be connecting the dac to the optical output on the chaintech.

Theres a slide switch. I had to mount it on a sip socket because I couldn't fit the whole board in when the switch was soldered onto the board. It sounds really good, about as good as my pimeta clone.

I was browsing through the digikey catalog and I noticed that they have started carrying some dual thumbwheel pots. Anybody had any experience with these? P4I7503CT-ND and P4H6103-ND are the part numbers.
