Headphones for a total basshead
Wow, thanks for the great replies, guys! I've been reading reviews around the internet; just based on what I've read, the Pro 750 seem to have a better track record with comfort than others, so if I was going Ultrasone I'd probably go for the 750. So, between the DT770, the D2000, and the...- PhoxHound

I've been reading the Ultrasone 900 thread for a bit, and it seems like they don't hold up nearly as well for genres outside of electronic. While I do listen to tons of DnB and house, I still enjoy rock and classical; would this mean that the D2000 or DT770 would be a better pick?- PhoxHound

Ultrasone Pro 900 Impressions Thread
I'm considering buying a pair of 900's...even though they'r.cheap from buyauthorized I wouldn't mind saving by getting 750's...how much would I be downgrading? I have similar tastes in music to the OP.- PhoxHound

Just a quick question; how deep are the cups on the Ultrasones? I've heard that the Denon has pretty deep earcups.- PhoxHound

Headphones for a total basshead
Hey all! It's been quite a while since I've been on Head-Fi, but once again I'm looking to buy a pair of headphones. For a long time I've been using my beloved Bowers-Wilkins 686 desktop speakers for my main audio setup, but due to college-related moving I'll be without them for a significant...- PhoxHound

Personally I didn't find the plastic Grados uncomfortable at all. They were so light (especially in comparison with my massive hulking Rolands) that they pretty much just hung gently over my head, only lightly touching my ears. Granted the metal backing of the MS2 might change that. Only...- PhoxHound

Hey guys, some of you may remember me from a while back. I currently own a pair of RH200, and I like them. But despite that fact, I can't ever seem to bring myself to listen to them. I'm always running through my ancient Infinity SS2001 bookshelf speakers. Certainly not because of the sound...- PhoxHound

Card with line level in and out.
any specific suggestions? the m-audio delta 44 looks pretty good but I'm unsure of the connections...it says it takes balanced TRS but they aren't stereo right? so I would have to get a single TRS to single RCA, and with 2 stereo outs and 1 stereo in being used practically the whole thing would...- PhoxHound

okay. I think I forgot to mention (and forgot to consider) that I need at least 2 stereo outputs and at least 1 stereo input. RCA is nice but if I have to use TRS that's no big deal. Still not sure of which card to choose.- PhoxHound

at least thanks for the clear up, most consumer sites make it very unclear...- PhoxHound

The holiday season is approaching, and you know what that means: time to get new stuff. As much as I love my Xmod, I think an upgrade is in order. I have the ability to install an internal PCI sound card (read: not PCIe since I don't have any x1 slots) so I figure I may as well. Since I'm using...- PhoxHound

Just bought the hd600!
I also have an eye on some HD600 so the opinions in this thread are interesting. Does anyone know how they would compare to say, the D2000? From what I'm reading the HD600 are overall better than the K501 which I had considered at one point in time.- PhoxHound
