Searching for my first high quality headphones and need some help
Alright thanks. I am now seeing the HD598's for 200 dollars, and that seems like a steal to me, but I've also been looking at the DT 880 Pro 250 Ohm. Do you know anything about those?- parkl

That sounds like a good plan. If I were to get an amp, would I also need a DAC?- parkl

Need help deciding between SR325i and HD598, also amps
I know this is an old thread, but did you say it's possible to get the HD598's for $180? Or am I reading your post incorrectly?- parkl

Searching for my first high quality headphones and need some help
Thanks! Will I notice a big difference amped vs unamped if the sound is coming from my phone? And where can I go to try some of these headphones on?- parkl

Searching for my first high quality headphones and need some help
Ignore this post too. I posted it thinking that I the post I made hadn't gotten through, so I posted again. Are there any cheaper alternatives to the E17? Also, where can I try on some of these headphones?- parkl

Searching for my first high quality headphones and need some help
I checked out the 598. It seems like a very good all around, entry headphone. I'm just concerned about whether or not it's worth the price. The q701 also seems like a warmer alternative to the k701/2, but I'm not sure how heavily amped it needs to be. I'm willing to get buy an amp/dac...- parkl

Searching for my first high quality headphones and need some help
Do you know of any headphones with a slightly smaller soundstage? And what is the difference betweent k/q 701/702? A lot of the threads I've looked through seem to indicate that the q's have more emphasized bass, but other than that are the same as the k's. Is that correct?- parkl

Searching for my first high quality headphones and need some help
Annies and K712s a little out of my price range, it seems. Right now it looks like the K702 is the strongest contender, but someone mentioned it wouldn't play well with electronic music, and is kinda hard to drive. I'm looking mostly to listen from my computer. Saying I got the K702...- parkl

Searching for my first high quality headphones and need some help
I have never had really good headphones. The only headphones I've ever owned have been ten dollar IEMs and some crap skullcandys. I have about 300$ to spend, and I'm looking to get the best sound quality for my money. I know that depends on a lot of factors, so I'll try to make advice a little...- parkl

Need some help deciding which headphones are right for me
Quote: Thanks for the link. I'm really starting to lean towards the DT1350. It's still a little bit of a tossup, but the D1350's seem like the best for me. I'm quite grateful for the help. I've never actually owned any good audio equipment, so this will be a first.- parkl

Need some help deciding which headphones are right for me
I have been doing a lot of research on different headphones online, and have found a lot that fit my bill, but I want to get the most bang for my buck, as well as something that fits my needs. I like to make a little bit of electronic music as well. It's not a serious thing. It's mostly...- parkl
