Make sure to go for the Fuze, without the +.  The touch controls on the + are hideous, compared to its predecessor.

If battery life is very important for you, I'd recommend you get a Cowon.  There are several models with impressive runtime and as mentioned above, the sound quality is very good, too. 

Agreed Martin and tbh, your review was the main reason to choose them.  They are great for rock. Hope to improve the lows a bit with an amp.  ​ My Clip+ drives them pretty good though.

Try PowerAmp, as it increases the Volume of the Player 4.0 by a whole lot.  Should probably work on the 3.6, too.
