Grado Fan Club!
OK fans, need some guidance. My HF2's came apart at the headband. Almost like it came unglued. Is this DIY repairable or should I send it to Grado for repair? TIA- oldskoolboarder

SuperFi 5 EB damaged connector. Repair options or reshell?
I have an old pair of SuperFi 5 EB's that have lived a good life. Original shells have seen better days but the biggest problem is that the female connector on one side has almost come off. So much so that while I can plug in a cable, there's no way that it'll stay on there w/o ripping the...- oldskoolboarder

DURABLE 3.5 mm <-> 3.5 mm cable
Took a look at some of the threads but most are concerned w/ audio quality, for my purpose, I need durable. My kid's hard on his headphones, or the cables to be more exact. So much so that I moved him to some Monoprice over the ears with the detachable cable. Since January, he's on his 4th...- oldskoolboarder

iPhone 5 Line out?
Almost sounds like for new iDevices using Lightning, any outboard amp would pretty much have to be a DAC now. Plus there'd have to be some config on the iDevices to output the audio via Lightning so a DAC would work properly. It would have to work like your Mac/PC when it recognizes a USB DAC...- oldskoolboarder

iPhone 5 Line out?
Looks like LOD is gone. If so, that sucks. Even video out is gone. http://news.cnet.com/8301-31322_3-57511687-256/apples-dock-connector-change-is-awful-dont-kid-yourselves/- oldskoolboarder

New Grado "S-Cush"/"Comfies" itchy and hard?
Yes, the Senns are better. I took my HF2 pads and soaked them in Woolite. Made them softer and WAY less itchy. But the Senns are still softer and more comfortable.- oldskoolboarder

Ultimate Ears TripleFi 10 stock comfy size?
Quote: Actually, mine came with 5 tips. 3 different sized silicon tips and 2 pairs of the same sized comply tips. I'm trying to figure out what size those comply tips are. -
Ultimate Ears TripleFi 10 stock comfy size?
Quote: Yes, it appears that the replacements are the TX-500 but those come in S/M/L. Trying to figure out what size to get rather than the full set of all 3 sizes and end up wasting the other 2 unused sizes. -
Ultimate Ears TripleFi 10 stock comfy size?
I want to get some replacements but not sure what size I need. What size are the stock comfy tips that come w/ the UE10? Those fit fine. Thanks.- oldskoolboarder

Odd iBasso D10 problem
I've noticed a problem w/ my D10 lately. It's a few years old, out of warranty, BTW. W/ the volume at zero, I can hear sound out of the right channel, but not the left. As I turn up the volume, both channels increase in volume but it's obvious that one side is louder than the other. I...- oldskoolboarder

OFFICIAL 2012 Bay Area Meet Thread (California) February 11th, Saturday
Hope to make it out to this. Have a question for the locals. My Bottlehead S.E.X. has the right channel that just went out. It's not tube-related, as I swapped tubes, the problem follows the channel. Any recs on local tube amp repair? Preferrably, Peninsula or South Bay. Much thanks...- oldskoolboarder

help me find a good amp for my grado hf-2
For portables, I've used an iBasso D10 and an RSA Green Hornet. Even though the D10 is much more versatile w/ my Macbook, the RSA is hands down much better. My best match (in my home) w/ the HF2 is the Bottlehead S.E.X.- oldskoolboarder
