Keyboard-Fi
I can't for the life of me find this combo: 1. Quiet (Doesn't have to be mechanical but if so I'd like Red switches) 2. Shift+W+A/D+Space compliant 3. Blue LED keys (I game at night in the dark to not bother gf) Closest I could find was a Logitech 920-000914 but apparently Logitech, in their...- ohiojosh78

Is this a good start?
Just ordered 4 items to start off my head-fi experience 1. Sennheiser HD 598 2. SanDisk Clip+ 3. FIIO E6 4. Audio Technica ATH - M50 LE Silver I am hoping this will be a good start. What do you guys/gals think? PS, I know I may not have needed the E6 for the 2 headphones but I had a $50 gift...- ohiojosh78

Best budget closed cans for Sansa clip+ unamped?
Awesome thanks for the great communication. I went ahead and ordered the Clip+ 2gb figuring I can just use the micro SD slot to bump up the storage and the FIIO E6 instead of the E5 since it seems to be an updated version and about the same size for only a few bucks more. Let ya know how I like...- ohiojosh78

Best budget closed cans for Sansa clip+ unamped?
I was actually looking at the E5 and Clip+ combo on Amazon because they are practically the same footprint. I have a $50 gift card and I can get both for 49.98 total. I didn't pull the trigger because I didn't know if the E5 made a noticeable difference. I just purchased the HD598. I see that...- ohiojosh78

Best budget closed cans for Sansa clip+ unamped?
Thanks for the reply. Do you have a Clip+? Do you use any of your amps on it or just leave it alone?- ohiojosh78

Best budget closed cans for Sansa clip+ unamped?
I was looking at the Audio Technica M50 or Koss Pro DJ100. What else is there sub $120 range for best performance, cost aside? I am NOT looking for best bang for the buck just best performance on the widest variety of music. These will be 100% music only and probably play a lot of music like...- ohiojosh78

The Deals Thread (CLOSED! See the last post for the link to the new thread)
Open/closed doesn't really matter. Is $110 really that good of a price on the M50s or is that a common sale price? Same with the HD598, is $200 normal price that can be had? These 2 items may sway my decision if one or the other is an abnormally low price. Thanks- ohiojosh78

Do I need a sound card?
Thanks for all the replies. I would only be playing newer games and while I appreciate the opinions I'm strictly talking headphones here. I have some Klipsch 2.1 speakers that are nice but I'm not concerned about them. I just basically wanted to know if I would benefit from having a sound card...- ohiojosh78

Do I need a sound card?
So you guys are saying that a sound card will sound better than my onboard? Anyone disagree with this statement? Just from specs alone the onboard seems to have the same or higher than a sound card. What am I missing here?- ohiojosh78
