Sound Rhyme impression thread
Are there any great sounding 2-pin, 4.4mm cables made of pure (no silver-plating or alloy), genuine (Japan, Taiwan) UPOCC for up to $100 that would be a great match for the DTE900?- NiToNi

I agree, they don’t, but in this case the deviation in energy build-up is quite significant, also compared to many other well-regarded sets: Too late for the 10th now - DTE900 is already on its way.- NiToNi

My post was purely related to how they graph differently, so yes based on someone else’s (TDM’s) graph who has a proper measurement setup and trustworthy experience of using it. From analysing the same and observing the significant difference in output (7-10dB) in the region where our hearing...- NiToNi

There's so much additional energy in the upper midrange and treble of the DTE900 relative to the 10th that it's hard to believe they'd sound anything alike tbh. Moreover, the DTE900 are so above any reference or preference target in this region that it's hard to believe they wouldn't come...- NiToNi

Thanks for the review. Disregarding the price difference altogether, how do they compare to the Tia Trio in terms of pure musical enjoyment (presentation, tonal balance, slam, PRaT, fatigue etc).- NiToNi

That peak at 4kHz - worst place possible - looks scary! The opposite of a more relaxed and musical BBC dip. How noticeable is this, does it come across as a bit aggressive/intense/shouty, especially at louder listening levels and on less-than-perfect recordings (older rock/metal etc)? What are...- NiToNi

How can you say a pro is “Non-fatiguing highs" but at the same time say cons are "Slight "sizzly' sensation from time to time" and "Sibilance is present"? Doesn't make sense. Similarly, a pro is "Great note weight” but a con is "Bass is more on the sub-bass than midbass that may deter some...- NiToNi

@freeryder05 Thank you, very helpful. I'll look into Supernova for sure, and give U4S another listen. The Annihilator 2023 sounds fantastic overall but that softness to the midbass sort of killed it for me, robbing the music of its energy and drive, especially on rock. I forgot to ask about...- NiToNi

@freeryder05 Thanks for the review, I like your style and reckon your taste's very similar to my own. I absolutely love the 64 Audio Trio but won't be spending $2.3k on a pair of IEMs any time soon.... So have you heard the Trio and could compare to the Meteor, ideally even A-to-B? They are a...- NiToNi
