zzz mine the left sounds muted compared to the right..shame I really loved the sound but 1 and a half months with no abuse at all is really not excusable 

Kudos to the OP for his extremely brave post and the fact he painted his grados.   Personally not my for my taste and clearly many. But hey just like sound, if he likes it then its perfect for him. Nothing else really matters, unless he tries to resell it that is.

I think OP mentioned he was getting it at the same price...Might just swing for the beats at that but not ppl here seem to have durability issues with it..but if you are not taking it out why not

Yes I have and am about to send my headphones in for a replacement. Once again I am sure a lot of people have also done similarly before. Wish they would take e-mail as a form of customer service but if you need to contact them you can use windows live messenger or call(if you are in the us).

how do you expect them to appreciate music...of cause they will think monsters are great..I mean its only logical that they think Justin Beiber is great it only follows they think monsters are the best!

When i first open the link, I thought my laptop had gone a little berserk and the colour was off. The monsters are perhaps decent phones but if i had any headphone in that colour I would NEVER wear it in public!

if you can't hear it, then no because if you are happy with them, they have done the job. No other way to tell unless someone with a good ear and a spare set of the same headphone tries them out.

Never personally heard it myself but the Ath-m50 is highly regarded here and is supposed to be relatively easily driven for an around the ear headphone.    If I am not wrong in jazz you want to bring out the bass and the trebles with a slightly recessed mid. I would go out for the Hje-900...
