They finally arrived today, and initial impressions are... just wow... These are amazing cans from what I hear so far, I'll get more in depth after extensive listening. From first impressions though, they seem to sound just as Mark described they would.   Hopefully should get pictures up soon.

So after 4 weeks of waiting for my cups to arrive in the next shipment, my LA7000s were finally shipped out last week on the 13th. They should be here some time next week hopefully, I will post here with pictures after they arrive :)

If you're a big fan of the Denon sound, I can highly recommend the cups. They made a surprisingly enormous difference in how natural the music sounded and the size of the soundstage on my D5000s, which already had wooden cups. With D2000s I can only imagine the difference. That was the first...

Based off experience with J$ I'd recommend his pads, but I can't compare them to the others you're considering.

You need to upgrade amp/source before anything else.
