Review : AUDINST HUD-MX1 DAC/amp - a promising newcomer (compared to Audio-gd FUN, AMB Gamma2)
Quote: Which headphones are you using? Maybe that could be the case? With my re0s, its definitely a warm sound. My grados will pick up some sibilance if its there.- nb_41

AUDINST HUD-MX1 or Tian Yun Zero DAC
I have the Audinst, a friend of mine has the Zero. Not sure when I'll be meeting up with him, but I'll try to compare the two next time. I'm not sure if I'll be able to hear difference since I'm not that trained lol.- nb_41

Review : AUDINST HUD-MX1 DAC/amp - a promising newcomer (compared to Audio-gd FUN, AMB Gamma2)
I'm using re0s and sr225(still lively grado sound just relative to laptop the treble is less present). I still find it laid back and a bit attenuated at the higher frequencies. I got mine used with many hours on it, and I've only put on more, maybe yours have not fully burned in yet? I noticed...- nb_41

Review : AUDINST HUD-MX1 DAC/amp - a promising newcomer (compared to Audio-gd FUN, AMB Gamma2)
Hey, I recently got an Audinst, used, and it's definitely improvement in all area's compared to my laptop out. However, I feel that the treble now has more detail/resolving compared to the laptop out which is good, but the treble seems to be at a lower volume now compared to the rest of...- nb_41

Q Jays vs RE0
Hey guys, I've had my RE0s for a year and a half now, and still enjoy them very much. I recently obtained an Audinst HUD-MX1 dac/amp that has breathed some new life into them over my laptop's output. I'm looking at the Q Jay's and wondering if it's an upgrade from the re0s or just a side step? I...- nb_41

Hey, It's been a while since I've come to this forum but everytime I do it results in a purchase. I've started off with a pair of Senn's PX100 which I somewhat enjoyed. I decided to see what the Grado fuss about so I tried the SR-60 and at the time I loved them and was determined...- nb_41

Middle ground b/wn Grado and Senn?!
Hey guys, I have the px100 which I enjoyed and then I felt like tasting the Grado-sound with an sr-60. I like both, but the sr-60 more. When I listen to each headphone now I miss/wish each headphone was a little more like the other, say more balanced? I am leaning more to the grado sound. I...- nb_41

im-716 an upgrade from px100?
Hey guys...I just got the Altec Lansing im-716s from ebay for around $56 CAD shipped. I think it was a pretty good deal?! I'm so excited waiting for them right now. Although from what you guys say, the px100 and the im-716s have completely different sound signatures, would the Altecs be an...- nb_41

IEMs and PX100
Hey guys. I have the Sennheiser Px100 (updated version) and my friend likes them. However, he wants the sound quality and sound signature found in the Px100 but in an IEM type of of headphone. As for pricing goes, lets try to keep it under $110ish. Any recommendations will be awesome. Thanks.- nb_41
