Im just looking for a pair of speakers, that wont need an amp to power them. They need to be able to fit on a desk reasonably.

Well wouldn't death metal favored a specific sound curve to get the experience the producer intended, I mean you would not wear beats to listen to death metal generally.

Hey guys I recently bought a pair of Grado Prestige SR225i, and they sound amazing. My one slight gripe is that they become uncomfortable if worn incorrectly or worn for many hours. What is the best way to wear these headphones. And any tips for their use?

Interesting advice Im liesting to some extreme metal so the guiatrs and vocals would be the focus for me, an overpowering bass is not something I want to hear. Also isint there a slightly better version of the SR125i for a bit more?

Also how do these compare to the Beyerdynamic DT 770 PRO, 80 ohms? They worth the extra $50 for metal music? And should I be able to drive these with my desktop? Ive got an asus m5a99fx pro 2.0 motherboard.
