Senn MX500. The stupid inline volume control completely distorted the sound. Had to hack apart the cable to bypass the stupid thing.

yah, i snapped the cord in half, and now it is too short to be usable. I would love to upgrade the cord, but it seems nothing is available for portable use.

Yah, when i ordered them i thought the volume control would be a nice feature. Didn't work for me at all. Not even close.

Just some simple stuff. Removing the stupid volume control improved the sound 1000%, much better now. Added a gold mini-plug, just for some bling...

Hi, I just purchased a pair of MX500s, with inline volume control. I can't get these things to sound right. The volume control distorts the sound very much. Vocals will drop out, or instruments will become more apparent. Sounds normal with the volume control on min, but not nearly loud...

Concerning the Waarde tube amp. I can't seem to find the correct values for R3,R4,R8, & R9. The parts lists says to get Carbon Film resistors. Is it ok to use Metal Film? I have no problem finding metal film. What effect will this have? What is the difference? 1 Watt Carbon Films are not...

I unplugged my tube amp today, took it apart, and touched one of the sockets by mistake. I was 'mildly' shocked. It was kind of a scary event. Anyway, how can this happen if the amp is unplugged? Do the components store electricity some how? How do i drain a circuit? Thanks
