thanks for the input guys. I should be able to make up my mind on the 101 or 3x's soon.  Glad I took the time to read up on this before pulling the trigger on those x1x's.

Hi guys, total noob here. I've been lurking for the past few days and read about 40 or so pages of this thread. Initially I was into the fx1x's, 101's and then the fx3x's. Also back and forth on some of the pana's and sony's but really leaning towards the JVC's now.  Apologies in advance if this...

I know this question is two weeks old but I'd like to know if you exchanged them and if so, what you think?   I'm looking into the x1x, I just read the 101's were supposed to be an upgrade but I notice the driver size is 8.5mm on the 101's compared the 10mm drivers on the x1x's.

I walked into an audio store the other day and sampled the JVC HA-FX3X's and liked the sound. Prices here in Hong Kong are generally around 10usd more than what I see on Amazon or from having done previous searches for the X1X.  No samples of the x1x's, so I'm trying to find out if the produce...
