I e-mailed King-Wa and asked if the 192/24 TE8802 chip would get new drivers - and he said yes. But they're holding off the productions on the products having that chip until new drivers are released from TENOR.

yeah, they also removed the drivers from the site, they require you to e-mail them now to receive the e-mail... They told me they'd get new drivers around 2013 march, so hang in there Geoo =)

only problem about those is that the earcups are a bit curvy, so if his ears are really large they might be bended in an annoying way. Depth wise they are amazing though!

yes, unfortunately. I find it weird that other people aren't reporting these problems as well. Hopefully the next drivers tenor makes is more stable than the current ones.     ps: thanks for the help Jollyjoggler :)

I think I'm getting too used to the Q's - I think I need to buy some **** cans just so I can listen to some awful sound - so that I can once again appreciate the Q's!

it's hard to put a percentage on how well the E17 powers the Q701 as it is individual on how people perceive the sound given back by it. Some may be happy with the E17, whilst some want a bit more. Diminishing returns quickly kicks in when I swap between my E17 and NFB 15.1 - the NFB 15.1 sounds...

Audio quest dragon fly is only a dac, isn't it? edit: I was wrong, it is a dac/amp!   E17 will probably do fine for the time being, and if you feel like you want to throw more money into headfi, grab a desktop setup later & sell off the E17 ^^
