Anyone had experience pairing Gungnir with Schiit Ragnarok and HD800? Currently have Parasound ZDAC and it used to be the great combo while using optical input but after switching to USB it became brighter and dryer to my ears.

Have question not related to power conditioners :) Did somebody find speakers that matching Ragnarok well? I am using old PSB A/V bookshelves and found it sounding pretty good with Rag hooked to balanced Parasound DAC. Gallos or Auioengines weren't even close to them to my ears. Wonder if it is...

That is what I read too but there are also mixed reviews from happy folks running Gallos using tube amps with modest 30-50W RMS. I have SA amp to run lows so hope 60W will be enough to run the rest in small room.

Thanks for sharing it was very useful. As a side note I'd suggest that both cups are moved into its highest position so metal bottom of cup won't hit an opposite membrane once pads are removed.
