The Stax Thread III
Does anyone know where I could find a replacement volume pot for this unit? (SRM-1/MK2) Or if anyone has encountered a similar issue before (stuck volume pot).- Mheat122134

Sorry for asking again but I’d like to know soon. Looking to get an older amp (pre 2000) from Japan but many sellers do not include the power cable, would any home appliance cable be fine?- Mheat122134

Simple Stax Amp Questions
1. Could I use a home appliance cable I have lying around for most of their vintage models? Looking to buy from Japan but sellers don’t tend to include any accessories. 2. Would a step-down transformer lead to any sort of noise or issue? Any help would be appreciated, thanks!- Mheat122134

Official HIFIMAN HE1000 Impressions Thread
Question: Is a used HE1000(V1) worth getting at this point? I heard them once and loved the “soft” sound they had, but am wondering for the price if Hifiman’s newer line would be better? (Arya, Ananda, EDX V2, etc...) I’m after that smooth nature of the headphones.- Mheat122134

Thanks for the response. Though if I can ensure the chain is grounded would such a device pose no other inherent risk? I've been thinking of connecting my Beyerdynamic T1's to a 10W 4/8ohm tube amp, though admittedly I have not done something like this before and don't have the knowledge.- Mheat122134

So I recently picked up a Gen 1. I’m detecting a slight channel imbalance (right side seems to be a little louder than the left). Should I be concerned?- Mheat122134
