How to replace a dedicated sound card?
Sorry for the confusion, by v2 i meant AD900x the newest revision, and by boosting them to 300ohms i should have said that the sound card has a gain setting the is used to support headphones that are rated to run at that spec. It made them sound so much louder and better than running them at the...- makavelijm

How to replace a dedicated sound card?
Hi, I used to be lucky enough to own an Asus STX sound card that was paired with a set of audio Technica AD 700's. Unfortunately after downsizing my pc to a mini itx form factor build i don't have any PCI slots for a dedicated sound card and i was looking for the next best thing. I have...- makavelijm

Sony Xperia Z1 Compact
Thanks for taking the time to do that test, i will admit clarity on this device is outstanding but i just wish there was more volume. Anyway i will probably just wait to see if the kitkat update fixes this otherwise i will be putting a custom rom on this. Right now im using the z1c with a ZO2...- makavelijm

Sony Xperia Z1 Compact
Hey im using atrio m5s with m7 drivers. These have excellent sub bass reproduction. Im in brisbane, i wouldnt think they would change the sound either but its definitely not as loud as other devices.I would say it's about 35% quiter than every other phone ive tested it against in store(htc one...- makavelijm

Sony Xperia Z1 Compact
I just bought this phone in australia from our largest carrier 'telstra' and i am sad to say that i love everything about this EXCEPT the sound! Coming from the htc one x and my daily rig being the NWZ F808 paired with atrio m7s and a headstage amp i noticed that the Z1C not only lacks volume...- makavelijm

Best android music player app?
While this may be true, during my own comparisons while searching for the best music player I found cubed player and GoneMad and found it to sound more open with better clarity. I don't know how it does it, and technically it should just be the the chip that holds the key to SQ but give them a...- makavelijm

Best android music player app?
Try Cubed player or GoneMad music player, both have better sound quality than all the apps mentions above in my opinion.- makavelijm

Pictures of Your Portable Rig (part XVI)
They are pretty good... for the price. Sometimes I think they are too fast and the bass lacks extension but that's just me I'm picky :) not as comfy as the M50s but they are more fun to listen and they have pretty good sound stage for a 40mm driver. I think i will try the AKG k267's next, but...- makavelijm

Audio-Technica Announces Revised SOLID BASS Headphones and Earphones
Quote: Good news, my WS77 have just arrived. So far they sound pretty good, I like them better than the ATH M50's. Comfort levels are good and there is plenty of bass. I will burn these in over night and see how they go.- makavelijm
