find someone with a working side of the W4R who's willing to sell. it's a win win for both of you. there's plenty of broken W4R out there that there must be someone with either working left or right side.- kookoo

Hifiman re 400 vs fiio ex1 vs soundmagic e80 yamaha eph 100 vs shure 215
Like the RE-400, I have one, I thought the SE215 had too much bass which bled into the vocals, the Yamaha were also nice. the problem with the RE400 is that it's not as isolating as the SE215. I would add another to this list, the VSonic VSD3, I have one of those as my gym IEM, very isoalting...- kookoo

I see you're in Melbourne, have you tried calling Acustoms (they're in the CBD). They sell all manners of IEMs technically they should have pelican cases even though their website doesn't show it. No harm in asking- kookoo

Teac Reference Line UD-501 USB DAC "DSD"

DACMagic Plus Impressions
To owners of the DACMagic+, got a question for you guys: With the dual XLR and RCA output, does the signal go through both at the same time? or can you select to which output you want? I ask because I am interested in this device to plug both my powered monitors (XLR) and my headphone amp...- kookoo
