Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

I fully understand that there will be a level difference between balanced and SE, that is not the issue. For me the issue is that there is only a level difference and distortion in the left channel, while the right channel is fine. This is only happening when using balanced input and passthrough...

Could be, but then why just in the left channel, and also happening for both balanced and SE out?

Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

Strange problem in the high stack The stack has recently been upgraded to a high stack, by adding a Modius (replacing a Mobi MB OG) and a Lokius (to allow EQ and easy selection between digital and analog). This has removed one Sys for input selection and another Sys for amplifier selection...

    Schiit Midgard - Impressions Thread

I had the same problem with a new Midgard (230 volt), although the noise started as soon as the power supply got connected to the mains, even when not connected to the Midgard. It was not noticable to me when listening on the headphones, but very annoying to other people in the room. Problem was...

    Schiit Midgard - Impressions Thread

You don’t need to use the balanced in to Midgard to get the Halo effekt, so your MMB2 will also be fine. In relation to low impedance IEMs the output impedance of the Midgard XLR of 20 Ohms might be a problem?

Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

I use a pair of Dali Oberon On-Wall in my Office system (driven by a NAD C 316BEE) - very nice indeed. When we upgraded the livingroom system a couple of years ago I first auditioned the Dali Rubicon LCRs, but decided on the Lyngdorf FR-1 in the end. (And Dali was founded by Peter Lyngdorf, so...

    Schiit Midgard - Impressions Thread

Thanks all that replied. Here in Denmark the electrical plugs aren’t grounded (unless they are for special purposes like heavy use or outdoor). I will contact Shiit-Europe where it was bought. But besidde that issue the sound is very good with my HD650, and I really look forward to try it with...

    Schiit Midgard - Impressions Thread

Hi friends - I just receiver a new Midgard as a - very wonderful - gift. The sound is amazing thru the headphones, but the powersupply has a very anoying loud buzzing sound that can be heard clearly 8 meters away. The buzzing sound is also there when the amplifier is powered off and even if the...

Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

A matter of style - and music. Did someone say 1970's? - those shirts! It can't be more 70's - but the Max Bruch violin concerto is exquisite! And then we have two gentlemen from the 60's (recorded 1966) - in a much more classic style: This recording is also very very good. And after I got...
