Most ridiculous home theater ever? You decide.
I'd probably just throw on some AC/DC music videos and crank it up to eleven...that would be a great way to die.- Joeywhat

Detroit, Pittsburgh or Springfield, MA
Don't move to MI...that is of course unless you already have a sweet job lined up. We have a terrible economy here right now, and it's been bad long before the rest of america went downhill. That being said, as long as you find a nice suburb outside of Detroit, it's not bad. The downtown...- Joeywhat

can anyone help me out with formating a hdd..?
Are you trying to setup a RAID array? I'm not sure if plugging a single drive into a RAID controller will let you use it as a single SATA/SCSI drive. Try plugging it into a a normal (not RAID) SATA port and see if it's recognized.- Joeywhat

Asus eeePC as audio player?
I didn't read the whole thread, so sorry if I'm repeating something... But has anyone tried adding bluetooth or GPS to an Eee? I get mine in a few days, and I'm definitely adding bluetooth. GPS is still a maybe. I have to see what software it needs and all that before hand...I know next to...- Joeywhat

Rate the video games you're currently playing
I'm playing a lot of Rock Band right now...and it pwns. GREAT for parties. Songs are a lot better then GH3 as well. I'll also download some new stuff in a little while. Seems like you can almost double your playlist via xbox live, although it does cost a lot of money... Halo 3 is moderately...- Joeywhat

The "I hate waiting for parcels" thread.
I just ordered an Asus Eee (among other things) and I know it's gonna be a long wait. Plus, I have the pleasure of getting it shipped via UPS, so I know it will arrive in a tattered box that may have gone through a car washed followed by a rugby game that went into overtime. Luckily it's from...- Joeywhat

Medicine to soothe throat?
I always use cough drops...the second I even think I'm getting a sore throat, I start snacking away at those. Whichever ones have the liquid center (feels more like caramel...) work really well. I oft times finish that of with a few dark beers. They seem to help out as well...although I guess...- Joeywhat

Keep 'em Safe - Wear Protection!
I always grab a handful from my work every now and then on my way out. I typically use them for shooting. I know first hand how bad rock concerts are...I used to be in a band. I'd never wear plugs since it was hard to hear the monitors, and I went somewhat tone deaf with them in. I'm paying for...- Joeywhat

your parents are wrong.
I'd say you're just lucky. Being a musician, and working in loud environments my entire life has given me poor hearing. I have mild tinnitus, and some hearing loss in my right ear. I guess being in marching band/ska band/landscaping/manufacturing without protection has done me in early.- Joeywhat

Xbox 360 vs PS3 vs Wii
I had a Wii and have a 360. Honestly neither are as great as I would've liked. Sold the Wii because only a handful of games were fun for it. That and it's not a single player console. I work too much to hang out that often with my friends, so it never got played. 360 is nice because of Rock...- Joeywhat

Hearing Protection at Shooting Range
I typically just use the foam plugs. I find that these are sufficient for me, but only when inserted properly. Make they go ALL the way in. I don't like the over ear style as they are usually pretty uncomfortable. Plus, sometimes the shell will come in contact with the stock of a rifle, and make...- Joeywhat

How to get a job working in a music studio
First of all, have fun finding a job at a recording studio. Those jobs are pretty much non-existent now. And the people that are getting them are either part of the family, or have a damn good degree. Since pretty much anyone with Pro Tools and a crappy computer can record now, it's been putting...- Joeywhat
