I just tried this trick and closed the hole a little bit all around and it feels tighter ... it doesn't loose connection as easily. Not sure if I want to do anymore.. looks very easy to break if I go overboard with it.

for such expensive iems, they should've had a more secure, more rigid connection .. a screw type to have it tighten would've been much better.

The Kimber cable was my first upgrade cable for anything but as I was in japan, I got them relatively cheap.  I was also skeptical but I find it does make a big difference in sound in a very good way.
