Does anyone make a retracting spool for headphone cables?
Yeah. I use them on a lot of things. I didn't like the for this. The total length with the extension is just too much. Maybe it's my short attention span, but I tried a second tie, and it was just tedious, and still a little sloppy looking. I agree it would have to be a light tension. But... -
Does anyone make a retracting spool for headphone cables?
I have an 8 foot extension cord connected to my Grado RS2e's. Love these phones and the extension cord lets me listen in comfort. But when I take the phones off, I always have a problem trying to store the cord before I put the phones on their stand. It looks a mess and always seems to become...- jocar37

Lh Labs & Light Harmonic out of business
I've also concluded that they were out of business. Seems my Geekout drivers are corrupted. Is there somewhere I can get download the drivers or am I SOL? I searched online and found nothing, but I'm hoping someone here has a solution.- jocar37

Seems my Geekout drivers are corrupted, and I just learned the company is apparently out of business. Is there somewhere I can get download the drivers or am I SOL? I searched online and found nothing, but I'm hoping someone here has a solution. Thanks in advance for any recommendations.- jocar37

Huge Comparison of [Almost] All Grado Headphones -- Post Your Own Comparisons Here (thanks, @giogio!)
It helps a lot. Unless the RS2e's are a lot heavier or have a much heavier clamping factor than my old SR225's, they should work great for me. Thanks!- jocar37

Absolutely extraordinary analysis ruthieandjohn. I've never seen anything approaching it. So I hope you don't mind I'd like to tap you for some advice. I have an old pair of SR225's and have been considering upgrading. It looks like the choice is between the RS2e and the GS100e, which, as I'm...- jocar37

Disintegrating Grado earpads
Excuse my ignorance, but would you mind explaining "Sock Mod?"i I found a reference to a Grado sock mod citing a thread on headwize.com. But: 1. It seems that headwize.com is defunct and that the thread that actually explains how to do it is inaccessible; and 2. comments I did find about... -
Disintegrating Grado earpads
I've owned a pair of Grado SR225s for about 20 years. They still sound great. But while the original earpads lasted quite a while, I've had to replace pads with increasing frequency over the last few years. They just seem to disintegrate fairly quickly. Is anyone else experiencing the same...- jocar37

The Fiio X5 Thread
you're right! that detail escaped me. however, I did read that the SDXC format allows 2TB capacity, and that a company called Microdia announced plans to market a 512GB microSD last year (for $1000!!). Doesn't look however like it's available yet . But it's only a matter of time... and money.- jocar37

The Fiio X5 Thread
Saoshyant - Thanks for your reply, but I don't understand anything you said. I have an iPod Classic, but never heard of an iPod Video. I don't know how msata would be used by an iPod. My Classic is 160Gb, but it's fixed storage. so back to my original question. Has anyone tried SD cards...- jocar37

The Fiio X5 Thread
I've seen HF posts indicating several people have had success using 200Gb SD disks with the X5. Has anyone tried using even larger disks? Amazon has a Sandisk 512Gb SD. So theoretically, with 2 of those, you'd have a whopping 1TB! The disks aren't cheap, but I haven't seen anything else that...- jocar37

High BitRate Internet Radio
So this is interesting. I searched the psychomed url thru my squeezebox, and got nothing. so then I tried "audiophile jazz," and the Newark jazz station came up. So I went back to my laptop, clicked on the jazz url - and the exact same thing was playing on both my laptop and my squeezebox. ...- jocar37
